2008 Season Outlook
Bobby Labonte returns once again to the seat of the #18 for Joe Gibbs Racing, although for the first time ever, he'll have another majority sponsor. Mobil 1 joins Interstate Batteries as co-primary sponsors, but Labonte's on-track results likely won't change as the funding remains as solid as ever. Actually, the funding may even be better, as rumors have Toyota sinking tons of money into JGR, which they now consider their hallmark organization. Labonte had a strong second half of 2007, proving that 2006 was an anomaly and that he's not off the radar just yet. It wouldn't surprise many if Labonte was able to nab another victory in 2008, despite the fact that he's likely keeping the seat warm for Joey Logano in a few years.
