2008 Season Outlook
David Stremme stays within Chip Ganassi Racing for 2008, but moves over from the #40 team to the #41. In the #40 last year, he struggled mightily to qualify for races, making just 16 of the 33 races he attempted. In the #41, he'll have owners points available and will at a minimum make the first 5 races of the season. He'll look to capitalize on the flash of brilliance he showed last July at Daytona, when he held off Kyle Busch and won in a stunning upset victory. He's shown more talent thus far than Sorenson, who posted just 1 top 10 in 73 races in 2 years at Ganassi, despite his lack of success on Fridays. In 55 races, Stremme's tallied 4 top 10s. With points backing him to start the season, Stremme should have much more consistent performance in 2008.
