One of the questions Dale Earnhardt Jr. has dealt with the most is "when will JRM move to the Cup Series?" Well, analysts and fans finally get their answer this year, as JR Motorsports makes its Cup Series debut with 2 scheduled races this year. Step-brother Kerry Earnhardt will get the call in the #83, which will attempt both Daytona races. With Dale Jr. joining RCR, it's possible that the car could be prepared entirely by Childress's organization and only pitted by JRM, although a team like JRM likely would have the resources to build the car if necessary. Nobody with knowledge of the circumstances will give information, but regardless, the team should be fairly fast. The key to success will be surviving the wild plate track action known at Daytona.
