2008 Season Outlook
Despite having competed little in the Nationwide Series over the past several years, many believe that Todd Bodine could be a dark horse championship contender in 2008. Bodine, after having raced in just 19 races the past 4 years, will run full-time with Germain Racing in the #7 Geico Toyota. The team is a long-standing competitor in the now-shuttered Truck Series, and Bodine has points finishes of 3rd, 1st, and 4th the past 3 seasons, so the resources are obviously deep within this team. Add that to the fact that the team has obtained the owner points from the #7 Phoenix Racing team that it essentially replaces, and the #7 Germain team is in good shape for 2008. The team did have 5 races in the Nationwide Series in 2007, earning 2 top 10s and 4 top 20s in limited action. With solid financial backing and a strong core team behind him, Bodine should once again prove his talent in the Nationwide Series in 2008.
