It was a clear day in Raleigh, North Carolina as the NASCAR Convertible Series made their 37th stop of the 1956 season at the Raleigh Speedway.
Curtis Turner led the field to the green flag as drivers raced for the second time at the Raleigh Speedway in series history as Turner quickly once again showed the power of his Ford owned by Pete DePaolo as he kept all challengers behind him for yet another dominating performance, as he would lead every single lap, and scored his eleventh win of 1956.

It was a clear day in Greenville, South Carolina as the NASCAR Convertible Series made their 38th stop of the 1956 season at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway.
Curtis Turner led the field to the green flag as drivers raced for the first time at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway in series history as a packed crowd of 4,000 fans were in attendance. Much like he had done eleven times already in 1956, Turner used his past experience in the convertible series as well as the power of his Pete DePaolo owned Ford, Turner dominated the race lapping the field by two laps by Lap 180 with no problem but after hitting the Turn 2 wall, Jimmie Lewallen would unlapped himself twice and cut the lead down to nearly twenty seconds, but it wasn't enough as Turner was able to hang on for his 12th win of 1956.
Other Noticeables: Curtis Turner scored his 12th win of the year and second in a row, Turner led 1 time for 200 laps, which was every single lap, It was the 12th win of his career in the NASCAR Convertible Series and his first since Raleigh; 1 race ago, Dick Beaty, who finished 10th, made his NASCAR Convertible Series debut, Bob Welborn, who finished 9th, kept his points lead, leading Don Oldenberg by 177 points
