Race #11 - NAPA Autocare 200
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their 11th stop of 1998 at the Nazareth Speedway, in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, for the NAPA Autocare 200.
Jay Sauter led the field to the green flag for the second time in his career but his lead would be brief as championship contender Ron Hornaday Jr. took the lead on Lap 4 before losing it back to Sauter on Lap 10 before regaining it on Lap 13 as from then on Hornaday showed why he was a master at the truck series, never being passed on track for the lead, losing the lead only during a round of pit stops, as Hornaday easily drove to his eighth career win.

Race #12 - The No Fear Challenge
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their 12th stop of 1998 at the California Speedway, in Fontana, California, for the The No Fear Challenge.
Tony Raines led the field to the green flag as for only the second time in series history, drivers raced at the two mile track in southern California, but it was championship points leader Ron Hornaday Jr. who would lead the first lap. Hornaday would have a race long battle with his championship rival Jack Sprague, as the two drivers would swap the lead many times over the course of the event as well as with rookie of the year contender Greg Biffle, before Sprague took the lead for the final time with twenty eight laps to go. Hornaday tried everything he could to get around Sprague, but it wasn't enough, as Sprague would hold on for his first victory of 1998.
