Race #13 - Tempus Resorts 300K
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their 13th stop of 1998 at the Pikes Peak International Raceway, in Fountain, Colorado, for the inaugural Tempus Resorts 300K.
Terry Cook led the field to the green flag as for the first time in series history drivers raced at the one mile track in Colorado, and due to the unknown about the track, thirteen cautions slowed the race for fifty two laps. Points leader Ron Hornaday Jr. led for much of first half of the race before pitting around the halfway mark, handing the lead over to Joe Ruttman while other drivers took a shot at the lead including Barry Bodine, Lonnie Rush Jr., Dennis Setzer and Rick Carelli. After the final caution came out, Hornaday Jr. took the lead with eleven laps to go and would pull away to to score his third win of 1998.

Race #14 - Cummins 200 Presented by the Indiana Dodge Dealers
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their 14th stop of 1998 at the Indianapolis Raceway Park, in Clermont, Indiana, for the Cummins 200 Presented by the Indiana Dodge Dealers.
Jay Sauter led the field to the green flag but it was Dennis Setzer who would lead the first lap as drivers raced for the fourth time in series history drivers raced at IRP as a warm night caused for slick conditions, allowing for multiple wrecks and spins, with 16 yellow flags flying. Setzer would lead for some of the first half of the race before championship contender Jack Sprague took over, and that's when he began to dominate. After losing alot of ground to Ron Hornaday Jr. at Pikes Peak, Sprague came to IRP to look for redemption, leading 108 of the 200 laps, but a late race caution, set up a ten lap shootout.
Sprague got a great jump on the restart, but hot on his tail was Tony Roper and Joe Ruttman. Roper would wait for the right moment, passing Sprague with three laps to go and held on for the last few laps to score his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win.

Race #15 - Pennzoil / VIP Auto Discount Tripleheader
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their 15th stop of 1998 at the New Hampshire International Speedway, in Loudon, New Hampshire, for the Pennzoil / VIP Auto Discount Tripleheader.
Jay Sauter led the field to the green flag for the second race in a row as his stay up front lasted only three laps before rookie Greg Biffle took over and began to dominate the day, as only Andy Houston was able to keep up with Biffle and the two drivers swapped the lead seven times until Houston was taken out in a wreck with less then fifty laps to go. Biffle himself ran into the back of another truck during the same caution, getting damage that would affect his truck as team-mate Joe Ruttman took the lead, before championship contender Jack Sprague would lead briefly as both drivers were involved in a wreck with sixteen laps to go, handing the lead back to Biffle.
Two more cautions would force NASCAR officials to use the Green, White Checkered rule, extending the race by two laps. Biffle was able to get a great jump on the restart and pulled away as Biffle was able to score his first career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series made their 16th stop of 1998 at the Flemington Speedway, in Flemington, New Jersey, for the Stevens Beil / Genuine Car Parts 200.
Points leader Ron Hornaday Jr. led the field to the green flag but it was Terry Cook who got a great running coming out of Turn 1 who would lead the first laps as a rash of cautions in the first hundred laps allowed Terry Cook to remain in the lead until he was passed by Joe Ruttman just after the halfway mark. Ruttman would lose the lead briefly during the round of pit stops before taking it back, and once back out front, Ruttman had to hold off a hard charging Hornaday and Jimmy Hensley in the final laps to score his second win of 1998.
