The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 3rd stop of 1950 in Langhorne, Philadelphia at the Langhorne Speedway.
A crowd of 16,000 fans were in attendance as defending race winner Curtis Turner led the field to the green flag. One year prior, the fans were given a great showing as the lead would swap sixteen times over the two hundred laps; however this time John Eanes, Turner's owner, had the car set up perfectly, as Turner used his past knowledge of running at Langhorne, keeping all challengers behind him for every single lap, lapping everyone but Jimmy Florian and Lee Petty, to score his third career win and second in a row at Langhorne.

The field has finished qualifying for the 4th race of the season at the Martinsville Speedway.
Buck Baker won the pole with a time of 26.338 seconds, beating Clyde Minter by 0.311 seconds.
Other Noticeables: Buck Baker won his 1st pole of the year, Baker won his 1st career pole in the NASCAR Grand National Series in his 5th start, Curtis Turner, who won this race one year ago, will be starting 9th Turner, who will start 9th, has a 151 point lead over Jimmy Florian

The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 4th stop of 1950 in Martinsville, Virgina at the Martinsville Speedway.
Buck Baker led the field to the green but it would be Clyde Minter who would lead the first nine laps before points leader Curtis Turner would take over on the 10th lap. Much like he had done one year earlier, once in the lead, Turner was completely unstoppable, as he would lap the entire field on his way to scoring his second win at Martinsville, his second of the season and second in a row.

The field has finished qualifying for the 5th race of the season the Poor Man's 500 at the Canfield Speedway.
Dick Linder won the pole with a time of 21.559 seconds, beating Bill Rexford by 0.034 seconds.

Linder started...in some position we don't know...in the real race, while Jimmy Florian was on pole.

Race #5 - Poor Man's 500
The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 5th stop of 1950 in Canfield, Ohio at the Canfield Speedway for the Poor Man's 500.
Dick Linder led the field to the green and would lead the first lap before Bill Rexford took over as the crowd in attendance was given a great showing by the grand national drivers. Lloyd Moore would assume command early as he would lead 137 of the 200 laps, but when a caution with fifty laps to go, it set up a shootout to the finish, which Bobby Courtwright would make his move with thirteen laps to go and would score the win in his first ever start.
