Race #13 - Dodge Dealers of Ontario 250

It was a cloudy night in Fraserville, Ontario, Canada as the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series entered Round 13 of the 2008 season at the Kawartha Speedway for the Dodge Dealers of Ontario 250.

D.J. Kennington led the field to the Green Flag and quickly jumped out into an early lead while for the second race in a row, Ron Beauchamp Jr. would battle for the lead, swapping the lead with Kennington, with Jason Hathaway leading briefly before falling out due to a broken piston. Kennington and Beauchamp would swap the lead while lapping most of the field, up to 7th place, and with rains coming, Kennington assumed the lead with twelve laps to go and would be scored as the winner when NASCAR officials called the race after 174 of the event's 250 laps had been completed.

Crossing the start/finish line in 7th was points leader Don Thomson Jr., and once the points was tallied up, it was discovered that Thompson and Kennington had scored the exact number of points. Since the two drivers had tied in points, the tie breaker went to Thompson, who had 2 wins compared to Kennington's 1, with Thompson being awarded the 2008 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Championship.
