Lap 2; Wallace takes early the lead

Lap 13; Wallace and Earnhardt pulls away from the field and at lap 15 the #3 takes the lead

Lap 25; after a bad start Bill Elliot joins in the top 5

Lap 28; first lapped car for the leader.

Lap 43; Bill Elliott has to retire due to a gearbox problem! After taking the points lead in the previous race, today he finishes at the last place in the standings.

Lap 55; green flag pit stops. Lake Speed spins out after a collision with Earnhardt, but the race stays green

Lap 56; Earnhardt cycles out with Petty and Wallace making a three wied situation in turn 3. Wallace jumps in 1st position but one lap later Earnhardt retakes the lead.

Lap 60; Kyle Petty is the new leader The #2 and the #3 battle for the second place.

Lap 77; another lead change: Rusty in the lead

Lap 95; Earnhardt passes Petty for the 2nd place. Wallace is leading with +2.6 seconds. Ken Schrader is 3rd.

Lap 163; green flag stops

Lap 167; the race leader is out! Wallace is turned by Terry Labonte in turn 4. The #2 hits the outside wall and Bobby Hillin crashes into him.

Earnhardt restart 1st with Mark Martin behind him

Lap 174, Martin is looking for his 1st win of the season

Dale Earnhardt wins the Bud 500 at Bristol!

Race #21 of 29 -Heinz Southern 500 @ Darlington International Raceway

Lap 8; Joe Ruttmann still in the lead with Marling and Elliott behind him

Lap 17; Bill Elliott takes the lead on the backstretch

Lap 21; Dave Marcis side by side with Alan Kulwicki for the 5th spot

Lap 34-35; green flag pit stops. Earnhardt cycles out just behind the leader

Lap 40; big group of lapped car in front of Bill Elliott

Lap 60; Derrike Cope is in 3rd position with Kulwicki 4th

Lap 69; Elliott enters pit road for his second stop. From the last pit he built a +4 seconds gap on Earnhardt.

Lap 70; Greg Sacks is spun by Earnhardt while entering the pit road.The caution is out.

During the yellow Earnhardt stops again. He will restart out of the top 10 and Elliott keeps the lead.

Lap 85; Sterling Marlin passes on the outside Elliott for the lead in turn 1

Lap 91; Elliott is back out front. Petty and Martin close the gap from the top 2.

Lap 103; Elliott is the first one to hit the pit road. Three laps later it's the turn of his pursuers

Lap 107; Ted Musgrave is spun by Dave Marcis and the 2nd caution is out. Elliott lead the field with Bodine in 2nd place.

Lap 112, contact between Labonte, Irvan and Wallace during the restart. The #2 has some damage on his car.

Great race by Harry Gant who sits in 3rd place at the moment. Earnhardt is out of the top 10 while his point standings rival is leading the race.

Lap 138; Elliott make his last pit stop of the race. Bodine stops 2 laps later

With 5 laps to go "Awesome Bill" is unattainable

Race #22 of 29 -Miller Genuine Draft 400 @ Richmond International Raceway

Green flag!

Lap 16; Elliott is leading with Wallace and Earnhardt just behind

Lap 28; battle for the 7th place between Kulwicki, Martin and Rudd

Lap 33; lap traffic for the leaders. Wallace is blocked by Musgrave and Earnhardt takes the 2nd place

Lap 40; contact between Cope and Dallenbach Jr in turn 1. The #90 slides into the wall but the race stays green

Lap 43; Wallace is back behind the #9

Lap 57; Wallace goes to the inside and takes the lead. Two laps later is the first one to make the first pit stop

Lap 61; crash in turn 3 between Irvan and Sacks. Elliott is involved in the pile up but is able to continue. Bad luck for Darrell Waltrip who was in 4th place and now has to retire.

Sterling Marlin and Dale Earnhardt beat the pace car at the line, they will restart 1st and 2nd. Drivers form 8th place to 25th are on the tail of the lead lap, like the previous race leader Rusty Wallace, who sits in 10th place with almost 1 lap gap.

Lap 77; side by side for the 2nd place

Great race by Jimmy Means who is currently running in the top 5

Lap 117; crash between Waltrip and Jarrett in turn 4 and the Brett Bodine spins on the s/f line. The caution is out again. Earnhardt stays in the lead.

Problems for Rudd and Elliott! They have to pit just after the restart.

Lap 142; with the last caution Wallace was able to be back in the top 5.

Lap 148; Kulwicki and Wilson wreck in turn 3. The third caution is out.

Lap 155; more trouble for Bill Elliott, he has to stop again.

Lap 157; Rusty Wallace is chasing down Earnhardt with three laps to go

Dale Earnhardt wins at Richmond!

Lap 6; Stanley Smith's Buick stalls on the backstretch and the first caution is out. Everybody pit and Elliott keeps the lead.

Lap 21; Earnhardt is trapped in traffic in p24 after a bad qualifying session

Battle for the 2nd place between Hillin Jr, Ruttman, Wallace and Marlin

Lap 52-54; green flag pit stops. Bobby Hillin Jr pits two laps before the leader Elliott and cycles out in p1 with +3'' gap.

Lap 59; after the stop Wallace is out of the Top 10.

Lap 64; Mast, Petty and Allison respectively in 5th, 6th and 7th

Lap 76, Elliott closes the gap between him and Hillin. From this lap starts a great battle between this two and at lap 83 Elliott clears the #20 and takes the lead.

Lap 95; Hillin pits for the third time, two laps later Elliott does the same. With the undercut strategy Hillin takes the lead again.

Lap 118; the points leader Earnhardt is battling for p11 with Spencer, Marlin and Gant.

Lap 131; Joe Ruttman takes the 2nd place

Lap 138-140; green flag stops. Hillin maintains the lead.

Lap 175; Wally Dallenbach is spun by Earnhardt in turn 3 and the caution is out. Different drivers are involved in the crash

Hillin restarts in first

Lap 180; drama for Hillin! Derrike Cope and Bobby Hamilton make contact just in front of the leader. The #20 hits the outside wall and flips two times. With 105 laps led Bobby Hillin Jr is out of the race!

Joe Ruttman is the new leader with 15 laps to go, Elliott is 2nd

Joe Ruttman scores his first career win at 47 years old!

Lap 21; Darrel Waltrip followed by Rusty Wallace. They are 4th and 5th wit +3'' seconds from Martin, Earnhardt and Elliott.

Lap 31; Earnhardt dives on the inside in turn 1 and takes the lead.

Lap 36; Martin is trying to keep his 2nd place.

Lap 42; Bobby Hamilton is spun by Earnhardt out of turn 4 and the caution comes out. The #3 keeps the lead after the pit stop.

Lap 51; Ernie Irvan passes Waltrip for the 4th spot

Lap 85; different strategy by Earnhardt who decide to stop well in advance. Bill Elliott is the new leader

Earnhardt unlap himself at lap 102. With fresh tires is flying through the field.

Lap 117; Rusty Wallace takes the 2nd place over Martin

Lap 121; the rest of the field starts his first green flag pitstops

Lap 124; two different crash out of turn 2: Morgan Shepherd is spun by Elliott and Gant collides with Hillin Jr exiting pit road

At the restart the field is shaked up. Wallace leads the field with Earnhardt behind, while Elliott is at the tail of the lead lap in P14

Lap 133; the caution is out again. Marcis spins in turn 2 and a few seconds later Musgrave, Wilson and Earnhardt crash hard in turn 4. The #55 of Musgrave has to retire.

Lap 144; a multi car crash out of turn 2 brings out the yellow flag for the fourth time.

Wallace is still leading the field, then Mast, Bodine, Jarrett and Earnhardt.

Lap 160; Geoffrey Bodine takes the 2nd place

Elliott is still out of the top 10, while is championship contender Earnhardt is in the top 5 despite his crash

No more action in the last 40 laps. Rusty Wallace scores his 5th win of the season!
