Race #13 - Oxford 250
The NASCAR North Tour made their 13th stop of 1980 in Oxford, Maine at the Oxford Plains Speedway, for the Oxford 250.
For only the second time in series history, the NASCAR North Tour raced at Oxford Plains, but this time it would be a combination race with the NASCAR Late Model Sportsman Division. Tom Rosati would lead the field to the green but it was Late Model driver Morgan Shepherd who would lead the first laps before the first caution would come out. It turned out that caution was the first of twenty that would keep the racing quality minimal as 101 of the 250 laps was run behind the pace car. Due to all the cautions, Langis Caron, who had been involved in a crash on Lap 108, would assume the race lead and was in front when the final caution came out.
NASCAR would invoke a rule that would extend the race 101 laps due to all the caution laps, and Caron was able to easily hold off Mike Barry for his first career win.
Other Noticeables: Langis Caron scored his 1st win of the year, Caron led 1 time for 186 laps, which were the final 186 laps, It was the 1st win of his career in the NASCAR North Tour in his 17th start, Mike Rowe(6th), Henry Shaw(11th), Butch Lindley(13th), Frank Fraser(15th), Cookie Visconti(17th), Jeff Stevens(18th), Don Biederman(19th), Terry Clattenburg(22nd), Jimmy Burns(23rd), Bosco Lowe(25th), Geoffrey Bodine(26th), Joe Fields(28th), Bill Dennis(31st), Morgan Shepherd(32nd) and Bob Pressley(36th) made their NASCAR North Tour debuts, Beaver Dragon, who finished 24th, kept his points lead, leading Jean-Paul Cabana by 48 points

Race #14 - Molson 80
The NASCAR North Tour made their 14th stop of 1980 in Laval, Quebec, Canada at the Autodrome de Laval, for the Molson 80.
Jean-Paul Cabana would lead the field to the green for the first time in his career and would lead the first six laps before he was passed by Tim Dykman, ten laps later the lone caution would come out and Cabana was forced to pit due to a flat tire, which his team would have trouble, as they lost two laps in the pits. With Cabana out of contention, Dykman would pull away to a five second lead, but with fifteen laps to go he got caught in lap traffic, allowing for Robbie Crouch to cut toe lead down with every lap, and when the white flag came out he had cut it down to a second, and off turn four he was right on Dykman's bumper but ran out of time as Dykman scored his first win in the closest finish in series history.
Other Noticeables: Tim Dykman scored his 1st win of the year, Dykman led 1 time for 74 laps, which were the final 74 laps, It was the 2nd win of his career in the NASCAR North Tour and his first since 1979 at Autodrome Val Belair; 23 races ago, Beaver Dragon, who finished 10th, kept his points lead, leading Bobby Dragon by 66 points
