Race #1

The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 1st stop of 1951 in Daytona Beach, Florida at the Beach & Road Course.

Fonty Flock led the field to the green flag and would lead the first lap of NASCAR's newest season before losing the lead to his brother Tim Flock as the battles for lead and position would happen for most of the day with Tim leading 15 of the 39 laps but would lose the lead late during pit stops to Buck Baker shortly after the lone caution of the day. When the green flag came back out, Marshall Teague passed Buck Baker for the lead with ten laps to go and would have to hold off Baker over the final laps with Baker right behind him, nearly passing Teague in the last turn, but lost in a photo finish.

The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 2nd stop of 1951 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Charlotte Speedway.

Fireball Roberts led the field to the green flag and would lead the first lap before Daytona Beach race winner Marshall Teague took the lead and would lead the early laps before losing it during a round of pit stops. Curtis Turner would assume the lead on Lap 45 and would dominate much like he had done for his entire cup career, keeping the lead for much of the race thanks to cautions laps, leading for 90 of the event's 150 laps, but with sixteen laps to go, Teague passes Turner and would hold on for the final laps to score his second win of 1951.

The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 3rd stop of 1951 in Mobile, Alabama at the Lakeview Speedway.

Red Harrelson led the field to the green flag after the starting line up was set by a random drawing and would lead the first two laps before making a pit stop during the first caution, handing the lead over to Tim Flock. Three more cautions over the next twenty laps would keep the field close together, but when the green came back out, Flock used the power of his Oldsmobile, quickly building up a lead around the 3/4's of a mile dirt track, lapping all but Curtis Turner and Sonny Black and leading 148 of the event's 150 laps to score his first win of 1951.

The NASCAR Grand National Series made their 4th stop of 1951 in Gardena, California at the Carrell Speedway.

With some drivers choosing to race in Mobile, Alabama earlier in the day, Andy Pierce led the field of 20 cars to the green flag but it would be Marshall Teague who got a run on the high side, and would lead the first lap around the half mile track. Teague would begin to build up a lead, using the power of his Fabulous Hudson Hornet as he started to lap drivers by the 50th lap. Despite two cautions coming out during the event, Teague would remain the race leaders, and when the yellow flag was lifted, Teague built up a lead of over ten seconds and easily scored his third win of 1951.
