Race #1 - Goody's 150The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 1st stop of 1986 at the Orange County Speedway, in Rougemont, North Carolina, for the Goody's 150. Tom Baldwin led the field to the green flag but it was Satch Worley who led the first ever lap at Orange County as the series make their first ever stop at the track. Race #3 - Coors Spring SizzlerThe NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 3rd stop of 1986 at the Stafford Motor Speedway, in Stafford Springs, Connecticut, for the Coors Spring Sizzler. Race #4 - IcebreakerThe NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 4th stop of 1986 at the Thompson Speedway, in Thompson, Connecticut, for the Icebreaker. Brian Ross led the field to the green flag and picked up right where he left off in Stafford by leading the first early laps around the 0.625 mile short track. Two early cautions would keep the rest of the field on Ross's tail, and after the green flag came back out, Ross would be quickly passed by George Brunnhoelzl Jr. on Lap 35, and would go on to struggle to a 10th place finish. Once in the lead, Brunnhoelzl Jr. began to build up a lead while Greg Sacks remained within a second over the final laps but was never able to get through lap traffic quick enough, allowing for Brunnhoelzl Jr. to score his first career win. Race #5 - Pontiac 150The NASCAR Winston Modified Tour made their 5th stop of 1986 at the Martinsville Speedway, in Martinsville, Virginia, for the Pontiac 150. Dave Rezendes led the field to the green flag and would lead the first around the legendary half mile track before he would be passed by Brian Ross. Ross would begin to build up a lead but each time it would be cut down due to multiple yellow flags for cars stalling on the track. When the race did go back to racing, Ross would be the class of the field, lapping all but six drivers and would lead 134 of the event's 150 laps to easily score his second win of 1986.
