Ever since I graduated, I've been volunteering part-time at the library at the high school that I went to. However, I've been planning ahead with my mock season, which explains why I've been to keep up with it on a consistent basis.
As for your situation, don't let it slow you down, and don't let crapballs like this DMCAToad guy strip you of your motivation in doing this. The stuff on this site is fun to do and follow, but we can't forget about our personal lives. Brendan's mock season is the best ideas ever, but he's got a personal life that he can't leave behind. We may still be waiting for him to do the Coke 600 in his season, but we're doing a good job of being patient and not giving up on him, his project, and the community as a whole.
Bottom line: It's personal life before anything else, even NASCAR Racing 2003 Season.

Well said guys. That Toad guy has clearly alienated himself so much from the rest of society that he has no personal life to worry about, so clearly he doesn't understand what hobbies are. Best the NR2003 community can do at this point is to just ignore him and not even give him any page views to feed his ego.
As for the Coke 600, it will be run next week, I promise. Typically I like doing Friday afternoon/nights for the races but the last couple I've been busy and the next two or three I'll be busy again on Friday nights between robotics competitions and prom, but I'd be shocked if I wasn't able to get the race in on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of next week.

Today, the Super Truck Short Track Series held their second mock weekend race, a thirty-five lap event at Sim Raceway Park in Virginia. Tuesday Afternoon, Brendan Gorman set the fastest time in both practices, but it was Alikz Ahlbrand who took the pole by a mere 3 thounsandths of a second. Ahlbrand chose the inside line for the start of Wednesday's race. Entering turn one, Ahlbrand was pinched down by Brendan Gorman, who got the 77 loose off the corner and sailed away from the field. Pulling away lap after lap, Gorman had the race in the bag... Until lap 17. Ahlbrand starting making up time a few laps prior, and caught the Goodyear Chevy, but waited for the right time to make his move, saving his tires. Going into turn three, the 62 of Bobby Ricky caught the two in front of him and make contact with Ahlbrand's 77, sending him out of the groove, and losing all his ground on the 80. Nearing the finish, Ahlbrand gave Gorman one last run for his money, going to the outside in turn one, but it proved that passing at this track wasn't going to be a walk in the park, and he almost spun the 80 in turn two, but instead backed out of the throttle and lost ground to Gorman, giving him the win at this tricky three-turned track. Series officials also have announced the series schedule, beginning on April 9th. All races will be held on Wednesdays, with day races beginning at 1 pm est, and night races beginning at 8 pm est. All races will be 100 laps, with one mandatory pit stop. 4/9 Bristol (night) .533 4/16 Martinsville .526 4/23 IRP (night) .686 4/30 Salem (night) .555 5/7 Berlin .4375 5/14 Ace (night) .4 5/21 South Boston (night) .4 5/28 Piggz (night) .52 6/4 SRP .47 6/11 Daytona (night) .4

Bobby Ricky Post-Race Quote:
"Normally, I'd be happy about finishing third, but when the race has only three drivers in it, finishing third is the same as finishing last, which is NEVER good. I'm really hoping that more teams show up before the start of the season."

Start from the first page, it's not a real organized sign-up, just give me your driver name, number, sponsor, and make. CWS13, obviously, but any temp you find is accepted.

Brendan Gorman post-race quote: Really glad to win this one. Being able to hold off Alikz and Ricky at the end is a huge boost of confidence that can only help our team for the future, so I'm glad to know that I'm able to do that and that this team has what it takes to win.

I can choose any car from the original carset? I'd prefer you make your own... There's tons of pre-made stuff out there that all you'd have to do is slap together, and seeing this is supposed to be a short track league, it doesn't eve have to look professional.
