Here we are in beautiful Alabama for the first running of the Aaron's 125. Can JR Motorsports get their 6th of 7 wins? Will a small team (David) beat the bigger teams (Goliath)? Here's how it went down. 55 cars ENTERED. That means 15 of them went home. Those 15 were Derrike Cope, Mike Harmon, Jeff Green, Harrison Rhodes, Josh Wise, Jason White, Stanton Barrett, Matt DiBenedetto, Jamie Dick, Carl Long, Donnie Neuenberger, Bobby Gerhart, JJ Yeley, and Scott Lagasse Jr. So that left 40 machines to race. Matt Kenseth grabbed his second pole of this season, with Regan Smith occupying the other half of the front row. 6 drivers made their debut for this season: Jamie McMurray, Jeb Burton, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Austin Dillon, Danica Patrick, and Willie Allen. On the first lap, Regan Smith powered from the topside to grab the early lead. He'd only lead that 1 lap, though. Matt Kenseth, the polesitter, took the lead from him. That led to 3-wide going into Turn 3 on Lap 3. That wasn't good, as John Wes Townley made contact with Dylan Kwasniewski. They went into the wall and collected a few others. The people that retired from the event were Kwasniewski, Chase Elliott, Regan Smith, Elliott Sadler, Townley, Ryan Sieg, James Buescher, Willie Allen, Robert Richardson Jr., and Ryan Blaney. After the caution, the field split into two groups: The first was 14 cars and the second was 14 cars. Brad Keselowski took an unexpected pit stop and Jeremy Clements lost the pace. There was a lot of trading of the lead going on, but Matt Kenseth led the most with 19 circuits led. It got down to the final front stretch to the finish. Trevor Bayne, in the #6 Advocare Mustang, was leading. A train down on the bottom led by Jeb Burton got past him. In Jeb's first race this season, and first race with JR Motorsports, he took the checkered! That makes JR Motorsports have 6 wins in 7 races.

BREAKING: CRAFTON TO RUN THE #7 NEXT YEAR
Matt Crafton, part-time driver of the 33 for RCR, has solidified his plans for next season. He will drive the #7 Menards Camaro for JR Motorsports. This pretty much confirms that Regan Smith will not be back full-time next year, as they have Jeb Burton and Johanna Long as developmental drivers. Smith will probably run part-time unless he finds another ride.

Race 8 had the Nationwide drivers come to the Pocono mountains. A very cloudy weekend led to some different race conditions that weren't expected. Joey Coulter, Johanna Long, Juan Carlos Blum, and Tommy Joe Martins made their debut. Chase Elliott, always a great qualifier, grabbed the pole in his new Great Clips livery. Ryan Reed, driver of the #16 Lilly Diabetes Mustang, started on the outside. Elliott took the lead early, but his teammate Regan Smith was on his tail. On lap 21, Josh Wise was merging in after an early pit stop. He merged right into Dylan Kwasniewski. Wise survived through, but 8 others didn't. Landon Cassill, Jeffrey Earnhardt, Blake Koch, Scott Lagasse Jr., Dakoda Armstrong, Mike Wallace, Kwasniewski, and Eric McClure all put their machines behind the wall. Shortly after the caution, Elliott, Matt Kenseth, and Kyle Larson were battling for the lead. Larson got it for 1 lap, but Elliott got it right back. Soon, Kenseth was there powering on the bottom. He powered that machine by, and no one got past him for the rest of the race. Kenseth took his first victory, Joe Gibbs Racing's 2nd, and the #20's 2nd.

DAKODA LOSES HIS RIDE
Dakoda Armstrong has driven the #43 Winfield Ford Mustang for Richard Petty. But not anymore, as he has been kicked out of his ride for "lack of performance" reasons. Dakoda is 21st in driver points, and last with all races made that is going for the championship. He has only completed 83% of the laps, and finished in the 30s 5 times. He will be replaced by a handful of drivers.

RAB MERGES WITH SLR
RAB Racing has merged with Scott Lagasse Racing. Over the course of the next few weeks, Scott will transfer the #8 Camaros into Camrys. Scott will be using the 8 mostly, and will share the 29 with Kelly Admiraal and Kenny Wallace like he has been so far.

GoPro, maker of the world's #1 used POV camera, has signed a deal with Scott Lagasse Jr. and RAB Racing to sponsor his #8 Camry starting at the next race, Richmond. GoPro will be the main sponsor for the rest of this season and for Season 2 for Lagasse.

KH MOTORSPORTS SHUTS DOWN
KH Motorsports, team of the #92 Mustang of Dexter Stacey, has shut down according to rumors circulating social media. This doesn't come as a big surprise, as Stacey has only made 2 races out of 8 so far. Asked through e-mail, Stacey replied, "there just isn't enough funding to keep on running. We might be there for the occasional race, but it's doubtful. It's a whole lot of fun running these races, but competition is tough."

EFLAND ATTRACTS SPONSOR, WILL RUN RICHMOND
Danny Efland thought he was done with racing. But he got right back into it when RCR offered him a job as an engineer. Now, he's getting back into a car. He has worked hard in the RCR shop, in late models, and had pounded the e-mail to try get deals. He gained a one-race deal with A&W Root Beer to drive the 33 Camaro. "This could be Danny's big chance. He has the passion and drive for sure. We at RCR hope he does great at Richmond." If Efland does good enough, A&W might want to be back for more races.

Race 9 had the teams come on down to short track Richmond, where it lived up to the beating banging style that everyone loves. One car dominated them all, but did not end up the winner. There was also a few debuts: Darrell Wallace Jr., Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Ryan Truex, Danny Efland, and Ryan Preece. 12 cars were sent home. In total there were 5 cautions for 25 laps. Matt Kenseth, the polesitter, led 93 of the 100 laps. But as the last restart commenced, with no lap traffic on the bottom, he spun the tires and the #9 NAPA Auto Parts Camaro got around him. Holding Kenseth off for the final 7 laps, Chase Elliott took his first victory, JR Motorsports's 7th!, and continues the domination.

R3 SIGNS STACEY
Dexter Stacey, recently out of a ride because his own team shut down, got picked up almost immediately. R3 Motorsports, owner of half the #23 team, has picked him up and he will run a majority of races Robert Richardson Jr. is not running. Stacey was contacted, and had this to say: "I really would like to thank Robert and them for believing in me. Now I gotta get some solid finishes.

GORDON RETURNS TO NASCAR
Robby Gordon, owner of the Stadium Super Truck Series, endeavors back into NASCAR. Reviving Robby Gordon Motorsports, he will start out at Montreal. He plans to run the road courses and Indianapolis. Justin Lofton is someone who is tabbed to maybe run some more races.

Also, OOC, does anyone want me to show off the paint schemes I have been painting for this series?
