Race 10 out of the 37 race schedule was rather...eventful. Inclement weather postponed the race one day. When it got to race day, race conditions were horrible. The most cautions in a race this year (8) led to a lot of DNFs (16). We did get a new winner though, but not a new team. Elliott Sadler took a 3 and a half second win in the #11 Camry over Kyle Larson, attaining his first victory and Joe Gibbs Racing's 3rd.

DASH 4 CASH RETURNS
The Dash 4 Cash program will make it's return at Daytona, where Elliott Sadler, Regan Smith, Trevor Bayne, and Ryan Blaney will compete for the prize. The concept is easy: The four drivers going for the championship that finished the highest in the last race are eligible for the Dash 4 Cash program for the next race. The highest finisher of those will win a $10,000 prize. This will go for Daytona, Darlington, Charlotte, and Atlanta.

The 11th race of the season brought us to the Pepsi 125, at no other than Daytona. This also brought about the return of the Dash 4 Cash program, where the competitors battled for it until the race was over. We had 56 entries, which is a LOT of cars. Elliott Sadler showed a lot of speed in practices and qualifying, but ended up 2nd. Ty Dillon, Rookie Points leader, took the pole in the #3 Bass Pro Shops Camaro. Ty led a few laps in the beginning, but gave it to Kyle Larson for a few laps. Then came Brad Keselowski. He took the lead and kept it for 30 laps. Then lapped car David Starr got in his way, and 39th place starter Matt Kenseth took the lead. He gave it up to Dale Jr. a few laps later, though. But after that Brad K came back and never looked back. He took his first victory of the season, first for the #22, and first for Penske Racing. The Dash 4 Cash winner was Regan Smith, barely beating Trevor Bayne and Elliott Sadler. Those 3 are in the challenge next week at Darlington, along with Ty Dillon.

Race #12 brought us to the Royal Purple 75 @ Darlington. There were 52 competitors attempting the race. 4 made their debut: Denny Hamlin, Steve Wallace, Bryan Silas, and Brett Moffitt. Elliott Sadler grabbed the pole in the Sport Clips Camry. His teammate Matt Kenseth started alongside him. The other Dash4Cash competitors (Sadler being one) started 5th (Smith), 6th (Bayne), and 20th (Dillon). The race didn't get off to a great start, however, when on Lap 2, there was a wreck that took out Joey Logano, Dylan Kwasniewski, Scott Lagasse Jr., Ryan Sieg, Ryan Ellis, and Juan Carlos Blum. Others were involved. But the race settled down after that, having no more cautions. Elliott led the first 27 laps before relenting the lead to Trevor Bayne. Bayne would lead for a few laps before Chase Elliott took the lead in lapped traffic. Elliott would lead for 14 laps, but Bayne got it back and took it all the way to victory! Bayne got his first victory and Roush Fenway Racing's 1st. Bayne took the $10,000 Dash4Cash prize. The contenders next week at Charlotte will be Bayne, Chase Elliott, Smith, and Sadler. Bayne, Smith, and Sadler have been in all of the Dash4Cash competitions so far, with a revolving door of Ryan Blaney, Ty Dillon, and now Elliott grabbing that last spot.

Race 13 brought us to the state where most race teams have their shops. The race at Charlotte brought some mayhem. Kyle Larson grabbed the pole, with James Buescher alongside of him. But it's not how you start, it's how you finish. The field only lasted until Lap 5, when an accident occured. It took out Matt Kenseth, Brendan Gaughan, Jason Bowles, and Tanner Berryhill. A few cars had damage, though, and that would affect the outcome. Jason White was one of those cars. When the leaders caught up to him, James Buescher tried taking him on the high side. White then drifted up in front of the top lane, so those cars all got forced back. Once running 2nd, Buescher got forced to 26th. Kyle Larson had the point. Larson led a total of 42 laps, and relented the lead to the JR Motorsports cars. Then another caution came out for debris. Regan Smith, Chase Elliott, and Kevin Harvick were dominating the field when during the caution, Chase came into the pits. He did not have enough fuel to keep on going. Chase came back out 1 lap down. It was no cake walk for Smith, as Larson, Harvick, Ryan Blaney, and Elliott Sadler were right there at the end. Smith kept them off though, and took his 4th victory, and JR Motorsports' 8th. Larson grabbed his third 2nd place finish. The competitors for the last Dash4Cash competition are Smith (since he won, he took the $10,000 prize), Blaney, Sadler, and Brian Scott.

I've been on a roll with these races (I have done 4 more: R14 at Atlanta, R15 at Montreal, R16 at Martinsville, R17 at Homestead). I don't think I'm gonna post race recaps for all of them, so here's what happened. At the Best Buy 120 at Atlanta, Kyle Busch dominated the race, leading 57 of the 82 laps. But he didn't come out on top, as Kevin Harvick took his 2nd victory of the year. At the Canadian Tire 80 at Montreal, there was some catastrophe. Lots of wall scraping happened. Coming out on top though, for his first victory of the year, was Kyle Larson. The AriZona "Arnold Palmer" 125 at Martinsville, there was pretty good racing, but not for the lead, as Kevin Harvick took it home leading ALL 125 laps. He took his 3rd victory of the year. Lastly, they went to Homestead. The Florida Lottery 120 had a lot of great racing. Elliott Sadler took the pole, but never led a lap. Brad Keselowski led the first lap, then relented to Joey Logano for a few. Logano ran away, but not for long. Sam Hornish Jr. led the majority of laps (47 of 81). Jeb Burton got spun which brought out a caution. Hornish then lost the lead to Logano again. Kyle Larson led 5 laps, but Logano stole it right back, and never looked back. Logano took his first victory.
