Race #4 - Food City 500
The fourth race of the 2012 season was the Food City 500 at the Bristol Motor Speedway.
Brad Keselowski led the field to the Green Flag and would lead for the first 15 laps as trouble would strike early as Kyle Busch would spin off Turn 4 yelling into his radio "This f*^$ing thing is undriveable, Joe Gibbs gives me a piece of %#%* to drive anymore." Meanwhile up front drivers swap positions as another caution would come out and drivers would stack into each other ruining alot of drivers day.
Keselowski lost the lead to Jimmie Johnson but would retake it back moments later and Johnson would drop out of the race after being in a pileup after a caution. Kurt Busch, who qualified second, was involved as well in the pileup that took out Johnson but the damage actually helped his car and just as the race reached Lap 100, Kurt had taken the lead and began to pull away. Amazingly no more cautions would come out over the remaining 450 laps, just tons of racing and even under pitstops, Kurt couldn't be touched and scored an emotional win.
Other Noticeables: Kurt Busch scored his first win of the year, Busch led 1 time for 400 laps, including the final 400 laps, It was the 25th win of his career and his first since Dover last year, 12 races ago, Phoenix Racing and James Finch gets their second career win, Kyle Busch, who finished 14th, was ordered to talk to NASCAR officals but Busch ignored and left after the race, Bobby Labonte's steak of Top 10 finishes ends after a disappointing day, Dale Earnhardt Jr., who finished 4th, kept his points lead, now 15 points over Bobby Labonte

Five cautions at Bristol...in NR2003? How on Earth did you manage to avoid a wreckfest?! I used the ratings from NRatings and I'm amazed too that there was only five cautions, and when I was taking shots of the race bandicam messed up and I lost a couple of pictures like the final lead change.

Nice finish! Does this win mean that Joe Gibbs will change his mind about firing Kyle Busch (if he was even considering it)?

Nice finish! Does this win mean that Joe Gibbs will change his mind about firing Kyle Busch (if he was even considering it)? We shall see what the future holds, knowing that Martinsville is next and how tempers reach their boiling point, hopefully Kyle will remember he won Auto Club or else I think Mr. Gibbs will be letting someone go.
