The field has finished qualifying for the 15th race of the season the Milton 35 at the Catamount Stadium.
Keith Cavanagh won the pole, with a time of 18.189 seconds, beating Claude Leclerc by 0.095 seconds.
Other Noticeables: Keith Cavanagh won his 1st pole of the year, Cavanagh won his 1st career pole in the NASCAR North Tour Series in his 13th start, Beaver Dragon, who will be starting 4th, will be trying to improve on his 8 point lead over Hector Leclair

Race #15 - Milton 35
The NASCAR North Tour Series made their 15th stop of 1979 in Milton, Vermont at the Catamount Stadium, for the Milton 35.
Keith Cavanagh led the field to the Green Flag as with only thirty five laps being the scheduled distance, drivers quickly had to make their moves and get the best finish they possibly could. Cavanagh would pull away from the rest of the pack, but driving up from his fourth starting spot was points leader Beaver Dragon. Dragon would catch Cavanah, passing him on lap thirteen, and would go on and score his series leading fourth win of the season.
Other Noticeables: Beaver Dragon scored his 4th win of the year, Dragon led 1 time for 23 laps, which were the final 23 laps, It was the 4th win of his career in the NASCAR North Tour Series and his first since the last Catamount event; 2 races ago, Beaver Dragon, who finished 1st, kept his points lead, leading Hector Leclair by 20 points

Del Thompson won the pole, with a time of 19.287 seconds, beating Robbie Crouch by 0.062 seconds.
Other Noticeables: Del Thompson won his 1st pole of the year, Thompson won his 1st career pole in the NASCAR North Tour Series in his 13th start, Beaver Dragon, who will be starting 5th, will be trying to improve on his 20 point lead over Hector Leclair

Race #16 - Molson 100
The NASCAR North Tour Series made their 16th stop of 1979 in St. Eustache, Quebec, Canada at Circuit Deux Montagne, for the Molson 100.
Del Thompson led the field to the green and would lead the first three laps as the fans in attendance were given one of the most competitive races in series history as Keith Cavanagh and Del Thompson stayed side-by-side for nearly ten straight laps battling for the lead in the first twenty laps before Thompson took the advantage and took over but right on their bumpers was the #2 Nova of Dan Perez, who was making his tenth career start and on the 35th lap he made his move for the lead. For the remaining sixty six laps, Perez was on defense as he would go on to score his first win in his career.
Other Noticeables: Dan Perez scored his 1st win of the year, Perez led 1 time for 66 laps, which were the final 66 laps, It was the 1st win of his career in the NASCAR North Tour Series in his 10th start, Beaver Dragon, who finished 8th, kept his points lead, leading Hector Leclair by 16 points
