Race #13 - Busch 100
The NASCAR North Tour Series made their 13th stop of 1979 in Milton, Vermont at the Catamount Stadium, for the Busch 100.
Brent Hatch led the field to the green and would lead the first two laps before Steve Poulin would take over the point but his stay up front would be brief as former points leader Beaver Dragon would move his way into the lead on the eleventh lap. Having lost his points lead just six days prior at Sanair, Dragon was looking for redemption as he would quickly began to pull away from his closet challengers but a caution with less then thirty laps to go changed things.
Randy Corey, who was making his fifth career start, decided to gamble as everyone but him would make a pit stop, leaving Corey all alone with worn out tires. When the green came back out, Corey quickly tried to distance himself from the pack but within six laps Beaver Dragon would make his move and passed Corey for the lead. Back out in front Dragon was able to hold on for the final fifteen laps to score his series leading third win of the season and more importantly took back the points lead.

Race #14 - Molson 100
The NASCAR North Tour Series made their 14th stop of 1979 in Mont Laurier, Quebec, Canada at Autodrome Mont-Laurier, for the Molson 100.
Points leader Beaver Dragon led the field to the green and it appeared Dragon was starting were he left off in the last race as he quickly began to pull away from the field, but on his bumper was Jean-Paul Larose. Larose would pass the points leader on the twenty sixth lap and he began to dominate the day and it appeared he would score his first career win, but the racing gods wouldn't make it easy for Larose. With less then twenty laps to go, Larose was lapping Tim Dykman and going into Turn 3, Dykman lost control and tapped Larose, spinning out the leading, bring out the caution and also making Larose lose his lead.
When the green came back out, it was a ten lap shootout as Larose would be motivated as he drove past Beaver Dragon yet again and would score a rare "spin and win" and would get his first career NASCAR North Tour Series win.
Other Noticeables: Jean-Paul Larose scored his 1st win of the year, Larose led 2 times for 67 laps, including the final 8 laps, It was the 1st win of his career in the NASCAR North Tour Series in his 10th start, Beaver Dragon, who finished 3rd, kept his points lead, leading Hector Leclair by 8 points
