Race #8 - Coca-Cola 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel down the east coast for their eighth stop of the season in Greenville, South Carolina, the site of the Greenville-Pickens Speedway for the Coca-Cola 200.
Butch Lindley led the field to the green flag on a sunny day but it was Tommy Houston leading the first two laps. Butch Lindley would retake the lead quickly, losing it then to Jack Ingram before he began to pull away. After the first caution, Lindley would pit and lose the lead to Dale Jarrett who would lead for the next thirty laps before being passed by Clarence Ogle who would be impressive, holding off Jarrett for multiple laps.
Morgan Shepherd would take pass Ogle for the lead as Ogle's car started to fade, but it was Dale Jarrett who used his head and used the lap traffic of Billy Hess to slow Shepherd, allowing Jarrett to drive on by to his first win of 1983.

Race #9 - Hampton Chevy 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel further back up the east coast for their ninth stop of the season in Hampton, Virginia, the site of the Langley Speedway for the Hampton Chevy 200.
Tommy Houston led the field to the green flag on a sunny day and would quickly began to pull away from the field, lap by lap Houston's lead grew bigger and bigger as Jack Ingram, the runner up for the championship in 1982 only lasted 32 laps before his engine expired while Sam Ard struggled all day.
Houston's lead continued to grow but after the only pitstop of the day his car began to fade, while Bob Shreeves moved up into second and chased down Bosco Lowe and would pull away himself to score his first win of 1983.

Race #10 - Sportsman 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel up the east coast for their tenth stop of the season in Dover, Delaware, the site of the Dover Downs International Speedway for the second annual Sportsman 200.
Joe Thurman led the field to the green flag on a sunny day but it was Bobby Allison leading the first 13 laps as the first caution would strike on the 3rd lap as a multi-car wreck takes out four drivers before the tenth lap had even been completed. Allison would lead much of the day's first half before Glenn Jarrett would soon find is way into the lead.
Having gone winless unlike his brother, Glenn was able to fight back and would score the win at Dover.

Race #11 - Southeastern 150
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel down the east coast for their eleventh stop of the season in Bristol, Tennessee, the site of the Bristol International Speedway for the second annual Southeastern 150.
Bosco Lowe led the field to the green flag on a sunny day and would lead the first seven laps before being passed by Rick Mast. As wrecks and spins began to take out drivers, Mast pulled away with each lap, his lead growing and growing until he hit the wall and damaged his car and would never be the same again.
After a brief time up from, Bosco Lowe would lose the lead to Morgan Shepherd, who did the same as Mast before him, pulled away to a huge lead only to wreck. Tommy Ellis then took over but Tommy Houston had worked his way up through the field and would take the lead late and would score an important win at Bristol.

Race #12 - Mello Yello 300
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel up east coast for their twelth stop of the season in Concord, North Carolina, the site of the Charlotte Motor Speedway for the second annual Mello Yello 300.
Dale Earnhardt led the field to the green flag on a cloudy day and would lead the first eleven laps as two big wrecks struck early and reduced the field down to 19 by lap 12. The race would prove to be a race to see who could make it on fuel as late in the race, Bill Elliott, who had been struggling in 6th all race long found himself in first.
As drivers made their pitstops, Tommy Houston stayed out to lead a lap before Elliott retook the lead, Harry Gant began to cut Elliott's lead down from 13 seconds to only 2 when the last caution was called for Jack Ingram's spin in Turn 1 and that sealed the fath for Elliott who picked up the win.
