Race #23 - Kroger 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel back up the east cost for the 23rd stop of the season in Brownsburg, Indiana, the site of the Indianapolis Raceway Park for the Kroger 200.
Sam Ard led the field to the green flag but it was Phil Parsons who would lead the first seven laps as the battle for the championship continued at IRP as Ingram came into the race as the new points leader after Ard suffered a difficult day at Langley. However this race turned out to be a well rounded race with drivers driving hard for every spot as well as big wrecks and broken dreams. Darrell Waltrip came into this race with almost a perfect record having two wins in three starts with his lone non win being at Charlotte last year. Waltrip would take the lead early before a flat tire resulted in him going a lap down and handing the lead over to Ronnie Silver.
Silver would swap the lead with Rodney Howard, Tommy Houston and Jimmy Hensley as Waltrip would be forced to work hard and got his lap back with only twenty laps to go after a late caution. Now back on the lead lap, it took Waltrip only six laps to retake the lead and once he was out front no one could catch him as Waltrip would score the win after a late caution.

Race #24 - DAPCO 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel back down the east cost for the 24th stop of the season in Greenville, South Carolina, the site of the Greenville-Pickens Speedway for the DAPCO 200.
Bennie Davis led the field to the green flag and would lead for the first nineteen laps as for the second and final time the NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series raced at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway as 24 drivers looked to write their name in the history books as the last ever winner at the track. Of the 200 laps, 70 of them was run under caution as a total of 14 cautions would slow the race and allowed teams several chances to adjust their cars and the setups. Butch Lindley found himself at the front of the pack late in the race and appeared on his way to victory but it was Sam Ard who drove around Lindley with less then 40 to go and would duel with Lindley when a late caution came out with less then ten to go and was able to hold off Lindley by a car length to score the win.

Race #25 - Free Service 150
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel alittle to the west of the east cost for the 25th stop of the season in Bristol, Tennessee, the site of the Bristol International Speedway for the Free Service 150.
Tommy Hilbert led the field to the green flag and would lead for the first four laps before being passed by the defending race winner from 1982 Tommy Ellis as the half mile track once again proved to be a wreck filled race as every single driver that retired from the event was due to wrecks including points leader Sam Ard. While Ard's day ended with him losing his points lead, his championship rival Jack Ingram stayed in the Top 5 and runner-up position as Jimmy Lawson would dominate the day leading for 88 of the event's 150 laps and would score his second win on a short and his second ever in NASCAR's secondary series.

Race #26 - Bobby Isaac Memorial 200
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel alittle to the east of the east cost for the 26th stop of the season in Hickory, North Carolina, the site of the Hickory Speedway for the Bobby Isaac Memorial 200.
Rookie Tommy Sigmon, who was making his first ever start in the NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series, lead the field to the Green Flag and would lead for the first three laps before being passed by Eddie Falk. Falk's lead would last only one lap before Bob Shreeves would make his way into the lead and quickly began to build up a lead as he had won the last race at Hickory a month before as well as winning another short track race at Langley this year. Bob Shreeves would dominate the day leading 143 of the 200 laps but after the only round of pitstops, his car began to fade allowing Dale Jarrett, who was struggling earlier in the event, to take the lead and was able to hold off Tommy Ellis and Tommy Houston to score his second win of 1983.

Race #27 - Darlington 250
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel down the east cost for the 27th stop of the season in Darlington, South Carolina, the site of the Darlington Raceway for the Darlington 250.
Tommy Houston led the field to the Green Flag but it was Tommy Ellis who led the first 16 laps as the track called "Too Tough To Tame" turned out to be just that as points leader Jack Ingram not only was involved in a wreck that resulted in him finishing last and losing his points lead, but he lost over one hundred points to Sam Ard. During the course of the race several big wrecks knock out several drivers from the race including Ingram, Tommy Ellis, Tim Richmond and last race winner at Hickory Dale Jarrett. Meanwhile up front the battle for the lead was a great one with the likes of Houston, Bosco Lowe, Pete Silva and rookie Davey Allison all leading laps.
However the obvious dominator was Sam Ard who proved once again that the NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series was his playground as he took the lead with only 15 laps to go and scored almost a seven second margin of victory, leading 108 of the 183 laps and scored his seventh win of 1983.
