Race #28 - Miller Time 150
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel back up the east cost for the 28th stop of the season in Richmond, Virginia, the site of the Richmond Fairgrounds Raceway for the Miller Time 150.
Jimmy Hensley led the field to the Green Flag but it was Tommy Houston who led the first twenty seven laps as for the second and final time this season the drivers tackled the tricky 0.542 short track as drivers have only seven races to go before the 1984 NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series champion would be crowned. Sam Ard would take the lead and would lead for only thirteen laps while Jack Ingram, his championship rival, struggled early on, running just outside the Top 10 and it looked like Ingram would lose more points to Ard for the second race in a row. However things all changed during a round of pit stops, Ard's team struggled and his car was never the same while Ingram got the right adjustment and he began to drive himself toward the front of the pack.
Meanwhile for the lead Tommy Houston and Jimmy Hensley had battled with each other all race long before Houston had enough and spun out Hensley, allowing Ingram to pass by and into the lead. Ingram took the most of this as he would lead the remaining twenty seven laps and would score his second win of 1983 and more importantly would cut Sam Ard's lead down to nearly half what it was.
Other Noticeables: Jack Ingram scored his 2nd win of the year, Ingram led 1 time for 27 laps, including the final 27 laps, Ingram scored his 6th career NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series win and his first since South Boston 16 races ago, Curtis Markham(26th) made his NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series debut, Sam Ard, who finished 14th, kept his points lead, leading Jack Ingram by 61 points

In the actual 1983 Coca-Cola 200, the pole was won by Phil Parsons, who will start 3rd in Oreius' version of the race. Ronnie Silver started 4th in the actual race.
And this is the new thing I do on this forum for fun, since it may be a while before I get to do more analysis on labontefanboy's season.

Race #29 - Miller Time 150
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel back down the east cost for the 29th stop of the season in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina, the site of the North Wilkesboro Speedway for the North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Ronnie Silver led the field to the Green Flag but it was Phil Parsons who would lead the first fifty one laps as drivers know the 1983 season was coming to an end as there are only seven races left. Championship leader Sam Ard struggled to stay in the Top 10 all day long but Jack Ingram would lead for almost a quarter of the race however he would struggle late in the race and he would finish behind Ard in the final rundown losing valueable points. Meanwhile up front, Jimmy Hensley would find himself in the lead when a late caution would fly with less then ten laps to go, which would set up a one lap dash for the win. Once the green flag came back out, Tommy Ellis made the move in Turn 1 and completed the pass in Turn 3 as Ellis would hold on and score his third win of 1983.
Other Noticeables: Tommy Ellis scored his 3rd win of the year, Ellis led 5 times for 70 laps, including the final lap, Ellis scored his 6th career NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series win and his first since South Boston 14 races ago, Sam Ard, who finished 6th, kept his points lead, leading Jack Ingram by 73 points

Well, this is a first.
Tommy Ellis won the 1983 Coca-Cola 200 in real life, just as he did in Oreius' version of the race! And wouldn't you know it? Joe Thurman finished last in both the real race and Oreius' version!

Joe Thurman finished last in both the real race and Oreius' version! I know man it's like an episode of the Twilight Zone Also fun little fact I forgot to mention, this is only the second time in the history of doing the Busch Series that there has been a last lap pass for the win in this league. The first? Morgan Shepherd at Hickory in early 1982 when he passed Bob Shreeves to score his first ever win in this series. I'm glad you also mentioned that Thurman finished last, I kindof been wanting to do something different but also copying the guy who does that LASTCAR page where he details the guys who finished last and gives a title who finished last in the season but I don't know if you guys would want more useless stats

And actual 1983 Miller 300 polesitter Dale Jarrett will starting 17th in Oreius' version.
Can't say where Rick Mast started in the actual race because all starting positions that aren't 1st (Jarrett) or 4th (Sam Ard) seem to have been lost to time. Don't worry, the finishing order of the actual hasn't been lost to time.

Race #30 - Miller 300
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series had to travel back up the east cost for the 30th stop of the season in South Boston, Virginia, the site of the South Boston Speedway for the Miller 300.
Rick Mast led the field to the Green Flag and would lead the first lap before Ronnie Silver would pass him and would began a steady pace as the leader. However on Lap 20 points leader Sam Ard made his move by taking the lead and he quickly began to show why he was so good, leading for just over one hundred laps. However Ard would struggle late in the race when he ran into his championship rival Jack Ingram in the pits, giving Ard damage and making him lose two laps and would lose points to Ingram. With Ard out of the way, Dickie Boswell would find himself in the lead for most of the remaining laps until his car began to fade with only twenty five laps to go.
Much like in the North Wilkesboro race, Tommy Ellis made his move and looked to be on his way to score back to back wins, but three lead changes would happen within the final twenty five laps, a battle won by Phil Parsons who would hold off Ellis for his first win in over a year.
Other Noticeables: Phil Parsons scored his 1st win of the year, Parsons led 5 times for 58 laps, including the final 7 laps, Parsons scored his 2nd career NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series win and his first since 1982 at Bristol 58 races ago, Sam Ard, who finished 12th, kept his points lead, leading Jack Ingram by 35 points
