Fun facts: Sam Ard, the real life winner, finished 12th in Oreius version Oreius winner Phil Parsons finished 32nd in the real life race. Thanks for saving me the trouble, I guess.

The actual 1983 Autumn 150 pole was by Sam Ard, who starts 4th here. Bosco Lowe started 16th in the actual race.
You know, the more I do this comparison thing, the more I realize how unpredictable NR2003 can be compared to real life.

Race #31 - Autumn 150
The NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series didn't have to travel far for the 31st stop of the season in Martinsville, Virginia, the site of the Martinsville Speedway for the Autumn 150.
Bosco Lowe led the field to the Green Flag and would lead the first eleven laps before points leader Sam Ard drove himself into the lead. After missing a chance to win at South Boston the week before, Ard was going for redemption as he quickly began to expand his lead while his championship rival Jack Ingram struggled to get into the Top 10. The half-mile track turned out to be pretty calm for much of the day as there would be no real big wrecks and with the five cautions Ingram would be able to fix his car during a pitstop. Jack Ingram would move himself into the Top 5 but he couldn't catch Ard who completely dominated, leading 139 of a possible 150 laps to score his record setting eighth win of 1983 and extend his all time win record.
Other Noticeables: Sam Ard scored his 8th win of the year, Ard led 1 time for 139 laps, including the final 139 laps, Ard scored his 12th career NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series win and his first since at Darlington 5 races ago, Joe Harrison(20th) made his NASCAR Budweiser Late Model Sportsman Series debut, Sam Ard, who finished 1st, kept his points lead, leading Jack Ingram by 45 points
1.00-Sam Ard (139 laps led) 2.11-Jack Ingram 3.7-Morgan Shepherd 4.32-Dale Jarrett 5.4-Joe Thurman 6.20-Bosco Lowe (11 laps led) 7.63-Jimmy Hensley 8.03-Pete Silva 9.14-Ronnie Silver 10.6-Tommy Houston 11.19-Diane Teel 12.42-Allan Powell-1 lap 13.06-Rodney Howard-1 lap 14.37-Chip Lain-1 lap 15.22-Rick Mast-1 lap 16.08-Orvil Reedy-1 lap 17.9-Bob Shreeves-1 lap 18.21-Larry Pearson-1 lap 19.50-Al Hylton-1 lap 20.59-Joe Harrison-1 lap 21.62-John Linville-1 lap 22.69-Junior Miller-2 laps 23.88-Jay Hedgecock-2 laps 24.16-Jimmy Lawson-2 laps 25.51-Robert Ingram-2 laps 26.2-Jeff Hensley-2 laps 27.12-Tommy Ellis-4 laps 28.10-Barry Beggarly-4 laps 29.04-Eddie Falk-22 laps (Valve) 30.45-Charlie Luck-39 laps (Header) 31.28-Phil Parsons-102 laps (Camshaft)

While Sam Ard took this race in real life as well, we don't have another "Twilight Zone" instance sadly. The real race saw Joe Harrison finish last, while in this version, last place went to Phil Parsons (who finished 4th in the actual race).

Actual 1983 Solomon Enterprises 200 polesitter Dale Jarrett starts 8th here. Unfortunately, Bob Shreeves' starting position in the actual race is lost to time.

Heh, this race got the real race's top 2 backward. In real life, it was Ard, then Jarrett. Here, it was Jarrett, then Ard.
