Lap 4; Geoff Bodine takes the lead
Lap 7; Earnhardt overtakes Bodine
Lap 14; Greg Sacks in 3rd position with his #18 Chevy
Lap 29; Mark Martin takes the lead three laps before pitting
Lap 34; Bill Elliott stops one lap before Martin and takes the lead. Elliott is actually the 1990 NASCAR Winston Cup Series Champion since he had only to start this race to win the points standing.
Lap 40; Earnhardt is the fastest on track. He retakes the lead in turn 1-2
Lap 65-66; pit stops
Lap 66; Harry Gant and Kyle Petty crash in turn 3. Rusty Wallace is also involved with a few damages. The caution is out
The top 4 drivers decide to stops again during the caution, a couple of laps after their previous stop. Now the new leader is the #94 Sterling Marlin, Greg Sacks 2nd, then Derrike Cope. Earnhardt, who was in 1st position, is now 25th.
Lead exchanges between Marlin, Sacks and Cope from lap 73 to 81
Lap 99; pit stops. Marlin takes the lead.
Great battle in the top 10
Lap 104; Rob Moroso loses his engine heading turn 1. Rick Wilson hits the #20 who crashes on the outside wall. The car returns in the middle of the track where Elliott, Horton and Schrader were coming at full speed. Then Earnhardt and Gant crash in the #9 car. Six drivers are out of the race including the new Winston Cup Champion Bill Elliott
Derrike Cope leads the field
Two laps to go, Geoffrey Bodine is just behind the leader
Bodine dives in turn 3 on the last lap!
